What the Clean Heat program is
Clean Heat is the utility incentive program that pays New York homeowners to switch from oil- or gas-fired heating to efficient electric air-source heat pumps. For Con Edison customers in New York City it is currently the largest single incentive available for a heat-pump installation.
- Up to $8,000 for a typical single-family air-source heat pump project
- Up to $10,000 for properties in designated disadvantaged communities (DACs)
Final amounts depend on current program rules, the equipment installed, your property and the heating being displaced. Verify the current terms on the official Con Edison incentive page and confirm eligibility for your specific address before budgeting.
